NetWorth Explained is a small, fully remote team covering SaaS finance software, financial metrics, and the numbers behind modern businesses. We publish hands-on reviews, comparisons, and free calculators, and we hold everything to the sourcing standards in our methodology. Roles below are open now; listings come down when a role is filled.
Why work here
Fully remote, async-friendly. We care about the work, not your hours or location within the US.
Bylined credit on published work. Writers and contributors are named on the articles they produce.
Direct access to whoever owns the decision. No management layers between you and the person who signs off.
Every claim we publish gets checked against primary sources; you will be held to the same bar you can read about on our methodology page.

Pick the role you are applying for and tell us why you fit. Links to published work or past results help more than a long cover letter. We reply to every application that includes a work sample, usually within a week, and shortlisted candidates get a paid test project before any offer.
We hire directly and do not work with recruiters or staffing agencies. NetWorth Explained is an equal opportunity workplace: we evaluate every application on the work sample and experience it includes, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other protected status.
Frequently asked questions
Do you hire outside the United States?
Right now our open roles are limited to applicants based in the United States, mostly for payment and tax reasons on the contractor side. If that changes for a specific role, it will say so in the listing.
Is this full-time employment or freelance work?
Both, depending on the role. Each listing is labeled Full-Time or Independent Contractor, and the compensation section on that listing tells you whether pay is hourly, project-based, or salaried.
What does the hiring process look like?
Send an application with a work sample or portfolio link. If it is a fit, we reply within a week and move to a short paid test project scoped to the actual role. Offers follow directly from how that test project goes, not from a separate interview loop.
Do you sponsor employment visas?
No. We are a small, fully remote team and cannot currently sponsor visas for any role.
Can I apply if I do not see a role that fits me?
Yes. Pick General application in the form below and tell us what you would want to work on. We keep strong general applications on file and reach out when a matching role opens.
Do you work with recruiters or staffing agencies?
No, we hire directly. We do not engage recruiters or agencies for any role on this page, and unsolicited agency pitches will not get a response.
