I had never created an Instagram account in the first place because sharing pictures publicly never appealed to me and I never felt the desire to show off when I was in an awe inspiring place or at a restaurant marveling at a beautiful dish. I'm privacy conscious and don’t have an appetite for fame. So why would I want to get on the gram?
It’s when I had an idea for a business that I first registered. Only then did I realize the value of having a pre-existing account. If I had started earlier, I could have already had hundreds or even thousands of followers and established a level of trustworthiness you don’t get with a brand new account with hardly any followers. You can rebrand your personal page to your business brand and sell to an active audience from day one with an engaged social media account followed by real people.
A decent social media presence is a must have for pre-launch marketing, so don’t wait until you are about to open your business to create an active Instagram account.
